Weather I do or weather I don't!!

So how is your weather??

It has been a little crazy of late!!

We are to get a big windy storm today, but you would never know it right now!!!

It's pretty sad you have to plan your day around the weather!!

They are taking 80km winds this afternoon!!

Right now it is sunny and calm outside!!

Yestarday the same till about 3pm then a down poor came and lasted about 15 minutes!!

I said to DH it feels and sounds like a lake emptying outside!!LOL

You could barely see across the front lawn!!

We were going to go shopping to Costco today but don't want to get caught up in this storm they are talking about!! Just as well we have work to do around here anyway!!

Getting ready for a big garage sale for may 6,7&8th!!

I must say though it is nice to have the windows open!!!!!

Love that nice fresh air clearing the winter out of the house!!LOL

I love hearing the outside sounds like the birds, yes even the rain!!

My crafting is on hold right now till we get this sale over with.

Last night I bought a bunch of supplies on Ebay.

I am planning on doing a couple of the jamborees this summer so I needed country music and cowboy type charms, for that!!

I will pick up some bandanas too!!

If you have any other ideas I could sell in the accessories line drop me a line!!

I will see what I have out in the shop too!! I know I have a laso!!lol

Rainy Day Saturday!!

Well it has been Raining most of the day today!!

April showers bring May flowers!!

I guess we have to put up with the rainy weather to have our dull landscape's go away!!

The grass is starting to come up green as the hours tic by today, I also have flowers popping up in my side garden, which is nice to see!!

DH is away at the camp with his Son and Grandson to make sure every ones trailers weathered well this past winter!! We had lots of snow this year!!

Today I am staying in the house out of the cold and damp, cleaning is on the agenda for me, but I'm having a hard time getting motivated!!LOL

It's already time for dinner and I have been watching tv and doing the odd thing!!LOL

I just installed my McAfee and cleaned up my emails!!

Last night 20 of us went out for dinner and had a lovely time!!

It was our friend Grannie Annie's 56th Birthday, after dinner we all went over to their house and sat around and chatted about our winters!! I placed an order with Annie's daughter Christy and she sells Pampered Chef!! I made Annie an out door round rug for her veranda, it is made of a fiber ribbon that I have been working with!! It feels like paper, but no matter how hard you try you can not tare the stuff!!

I think we got home about 12am!!

Well I hope I have my ambition tomorrow!!LOL

Things I have been working on

Well Well!!! Time really does FLY!!

Well!! It has been a long time!! OMG!!!!!

So much has happened I hardly know where to begin!!

I lost my Wonderful Mom!!

She was a couple weeks shy of her 83rd Birthday when she passed.

I miss her dearly and every day!!

I am now on high speed so will be on a lot more and hope to get selling again on Kijiji and maybe

Ebay again, still not sure on the Ebay?

We have added onto our wonderful home a mud room, but stuff still seems to get tracked in!!Ugh

Our Grandchildren are growing out of control and 2 are now driving!!UGH

I had a wonderful craft show season last fall!!!

I did a show last weekend and did pretty good!!

I am thinking of changing my business yet again to a quilting and clothing shop!!

I was thinking of a name something like Happy Scrappy Quilt Shop & Clothing or

just The Scrappy Quilt Shop!!

Anyway it will be a year or so in the making!! I would like to have my SIL in on it too!!

I will still have my jewellery and such displayed too!!

Will never give up all my crafting!!LOL

I can't believe it has been this long since I last posted

Life Happens!!

So lets see, What Has Happened?

The craft show I organised was a Great Success for the Church!!!

I heard nothing but praise, for all the work I did!!

The ladies made about $1000, with the quilt, luncheon

and off thier craft and bake tables!!

Me on the other hand still did about the same amount of sales as I do every year there!!

Ugh!!!

This weekend is my Biggest Show I have this season!!

I am so calm, I just don't understand!!LOL

I guess because I have more stock then I could possibly sell in a year!!LOL

I am going to sell off my festive earrings at $1 a pr in my last 2 shows!!!

I want to clear a bunch of that stock out!!!

I have been very busy with community events and meetings of late!!

Tis the season!! LOL

I have joined the executive of the BRASS, I am the Secretary.

This group was going to fold so Mom and I went to the meeting to fight for the group!!

Glad it is still going!!

The Legion has been very busy and Me with!!LOL

Tomorrow I have to Cook a turkey for the dinner this weekend!!

Well I picked it up today and I have never seen a turkey this big before!!Ugh!!!

It's huge!!!!LOL

Today was a stay home day!!

I just had to go into town to pick the turkey and a couple parcels!!!

Books and More Books!!!

I got a bunch of crafting books(Of course) and some for the GK's!!

I will try some of the projects this winter!!

Well thats about it for me!!!

October 21st!!!! The First Day of SNOW????

October Snow???

This picture is taken from the door way on the back deck!!

Last year on this day it was 26*c today 2008 SNOW????UGH!!!!

I know I sure wasn't ready for this!!

I'm still wearing open toed sandles!!LOL

It was raining when I left for my painting class,

and as we drove north it got more and more snowy!!

When I got back home at 12:30pm we were covered in snow too!!

Oh well!! It is coming!!Ugh

On a more fun note I did start going to a painting class on Tuesdays!!

It is a water colour painting class and it cost a wopping $3 a class!!LOL

One of my friends mentioned that she goes every week and when she found out I paint she asked me to come along!! We will take turns driving as it is a 1/2hr away!!

This Class is held at a Legion and there is a teacher, she brings in a suject to paint or you can work on what ever you want!!

I took a picture of an elk to paint for DH and the camp!!

They don't hunt elk,

but I liked that it looked pretty easy for me!!LOL

I took lessons a few years back and picked up my brushes again this summer!!

There was about 12 ladies there and 2 men come and they Draw!!

I think the money goes to the legion, not to the teacher!!

Everyone was very nice and willing to help!!

It's nice sitting and creating with like minded people!!

I need to be better prepared for next week!!

I didn't know what to bring this first week!!

When I took lessons before every thing was there for us, meaning water containers, paper towels and such. I guess for $3 I should have clued in!!LOL

I will set up a bag of my needs for next week!!

Well I just got back from the UCW meeting and we discussed the craft show for this weekend!!

Looks like we have a sell out show, all my tables are rented

and the last of the advertising is done!!

The tea the ladies put on was organised and all areas of the show are ready to roll!!

I am doing my baking tomorrow and freezing it for friday!!

I have to get my show stuff ready and at the door for loading ready as

I wont have time on Friday!!

So thanks Giving was a blast!!

We had 20 people for dinner!!

Yep 20!!!

We had 2 turkeys, 1 roast of beef & 1 ham, I made mash potatoes, c

arrots & parsnips, turnip, Brocoli & cauliflower!!

We had no less than 5 different desserts too!!

It was a great gathering of freinds and family!!

A couple days later my mom said how much she enjoy the dinner and evening!!

I love my house filled with freinds and family!!!

We had lovely weather too, which makes for everyone to be in a good mood too!!

Well my next post wont be till after the show!!

I will try and take some pictures to share on here!!

It's Our Canadian Thanksgiving Long Weekend!!

Wow what a Great day we had!!!

This morning we(DH, Me, DB & SIL headed out early and did a few garage sale,

after that went out to Breakfast!!

I got a few new display racks for the shop!!

One of the sales was selling off a business, and that is were

I got one big whirly rack and plastic bins that hook on the peg board of it!

The other display is a metal tree that hold ornaments but I will paint it

black to hang jewellery on!! I also got about 6 ornament display stands too!!

I didn't even spend $10 on all this!! Got to love that!!!

I will take some pic's tomorrow of the racking!!

When we got back we got out our ATV's and took a nice long ride into the back property!!

I had not been to this area, it was amazing!!

We drove on hunting paths, back into a maple grove, and pinery!!!

It would take 3 people to hug the tree base!! It was great!!!!!

We were on the most beautiful ridge!! I was in awh!!!!

After our ride we went back to my DB&SIL and ended up staying for

dinner and a very spirited game of ucher!!

DH plays for fun, but he saw a different side of my brother and he didn't like it!!LOL

My DB and I played as partners, it is usually SIL & Me as partners, so it was a different experience for DH be on the other side of my DB!!!

I was in stitches, watching DH see the side of my DB, I know very well!!LOL

DH said he never wanted to play cards with DB again!!LOL

I just explained to him, that the way he plays is to win and we play to have fun!!!

My brother and I were born with cards in our hands!!LOL

I love to play, both for fun and competitively!! But I know were to draw the line!!

You have to be on your game with DB or he will eat you alive!!LOLOLOL

DH had a couple drinks so he was not so sharp, so I told him not to drink,

if he did play cards with him again!!

I hope DH doesn't feel picked on as DH & DB are best friends and I want it to stay that way!!!

Oh such little boys they still are!!!LOL
